Vadodara: Some parts of the Chota Udepur Regency were flooded on Tuesday because the rainfall was unrelenting in this region for the past two days.
On Tuesday, the Bodel received rain of more than 5 inches in eight hours, while Jetpur Pavi got a 4.8-inch rain.
The water level of the two main dams of Regency – Sukhi and Hemp – also increased.
Warnings have been issued to release 12,000 Cusec waters of the Sukhi Dam because more than 95% of the storage level has been filled.
However, until late at night, the authorities had not started releasing water.
In the city of Bodeli, water enters many houses in the lowlands and people have gathered on the banks of the Orsang River to watch the river flowing in completely equivalent.
During the day, the Orsang River water began to flow on a dam in Jojva Village in Bodeli Taluka.
Warning has also been spent for people who do not dare near Bharaj, surprised and Ashwin river because this has also swelled with inflows of freshwater.
District administrative officials said that all village heads had been contacted to warn villagers about the flood situation.
Meanwhile, traffic on the main highway connects the Chhota Udepur, Jetpur Pavi and Bodeli with Vadodara is also affected as water from a ravine that floods the road.
“We monitor the situation and are prepared because there are estimates of heavy rain in the region.
However, because the intensity of rainfall has declined, the surface of the water in a low beats is also reduced,” an official said.
