BERLIN: Thunderstorms attracted a much-needed cooldown into portions of Western Europe during the weekend since the continent sweltered below its very first summer heatwave.
Forecasters predicted additional downpours Monday moving toward Poland, that has witnessed five times of hot weather.
Germany’s national weather agency DWD stated temperatures at the west and west of the country fell from more than 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit) on the weekend to approximately 20 C (68 F) following a night of rain.
