“Dotasra, however, declined to comment on the purpose of Channi’s sudden visit.
Gehlot played an active role in Punjab’s politics when he led the Congress screening committee during the last Punjab election in 2017.
The possibility that Channi and Gehlot discussed the Congress strategy for the upcoming election of Punjab.
During the political upheaval in Punjab who saw the change of guards in the neighboring country last month, Gehlot welcomed the appointment of Channi as CM and suggested Captain Amarinder Singh to refrain from Congress.
In reaction, Singh opposed Gehlot and reminded him to focus on Rajasthan trapped in a similar chaos considering the opposition pilot Sachin against Gehlot.
Channi’s meeting with Gehlot assumed significance in that light.
By supporting Channi, Gehlot sent across the message that he would always stand on the decision of the Congress High Command.
Sharing irrigation water from Canal Indira Gandhi remains a controversial problem between Punjab and Rajasthan.
This may be looking among the two CMS meetings, because farmers in Srianganganagar Regency are in the arms of the Government Gehlot for the past three days.
The disposal of the human body in the canal in Punjab and Haryana is another matter.
