Jaipur: In a meeting with the Textile Secretary Union Upendra Prasad Singh, Chairman of the Ashok Minister Gehlot searched for cooperation and support for Textile Park near Jodhpur.
In a meeting at CMR, Gehlot said Rajasthan was developing infrastructure to promote the country as a textile hub and Taman Kankan spread over 1,000 hectares was part of the initiative.
He urged the Secretary of the Union to enter the park under the Textile Taman Investment Mega Center YOJNA so that it could take advantage of the incentives provided under the scheme.
Gehlot said the area was part of a special shipping corridor and the state had other infrastructure facilities needed such as logistics, raw materials, and labor needed for this sector.
Gehlot also attracted attention to the region of oil investment, chemicals and petrochemical (PCPIR) which has the potential to develop technical textiles.
To utilize raw materials, the state also identifies 100 hectares of zones in the spirit in Pali for making technical textiles.
