Raj Govt provides tax assistance for the tourism industry

Jaipur: The State Government on Wednesday gives tax savings to the tourism industry and offers loans with 9% interest subsidies.
According to the T-department of the Ministry of Finance, the hotel and tour operators will get a refund for the GST country (SGST) which is paid by them from October 2020 to June 2021.
Beneficiaries will be entitled to replacement 50% of SGST during March 2021 2021 and 75% during April -Indo 2021.
“This order applies to taxable people listed in the hotel category, heritage, resort and tour operator hotels.
This order does not apply to Mandiri restaurants and clubs,” said Ordo.
In addition, no replacement will be available for SGST Leviables and paid for leasing services or leasing including their own non-residential property or rented.
Ranvijay Singh, Together Secretary of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan said, “The relief extended by the government will provide comfort liquidity to the tourism unit.
This industry has suffered the most during the pandemic and we have demanded a help package.” Under the Mukhyamantri Joyogat udyog sambal yojana, The tourism unit will get a 9% interest subsidy on a loan until Rs 25 Lakh.
This loan will be for three years and the application will be allowed until March 2022.
This scheme will be part of the Protection of Mukhyamantri Laghu Udhyog Yojana (MLUPY) and will be arranged by MLUPY norms.
Bars in hotels and clubs have also been excluded from the license fee at an additional counter, which will be entitled to 10% exemption.
Last year, the state government has offered SGST assistance for the April-September period.
But the industry does not benefit because almost no business and tax liabilities are very small.
However, some in the industry said that the government must also release the sentences imposed on short removal of liquor.
“The demand for liquor disappears when people remain indoors.
In such situations, the bar cannot sell 10% liquor more according to the policy.
So the penalty must be released,” they said.
