City: Three people including duo duo killed and nine others including two women and a 15-year-old boy was injured after the SUV took 12 people upside down at NH 27 near Mamuni Village in the District of Baran on Wednesday.
According to Shahabad Sho Ranjeet Singh, at least 11 family members from the city and the driver traveled to Jhansi in the SUV to attend the wedding function on Wednesday.
Around 2:30 a.m., the SUV, the driver lost control and was reversed after colliding with the divider at NH – 27 near Mamuni Village.
Three people, identified as Bablu Singh (50), his daughter Monika (19) and Mahendra Mali driver (25), residents of Ladpura, the city suffered a critical injury in an accident.
They immediately rushed to a local hospital, where they gave up due to injury immediately after that, he added.
Three critical injuries were referred to the city while the other four were in the treatment at the hospital in Baran, said Sho.
Two other women from the family escaped were not hurt in an accident, he added.
He further said that the initial investigation revealed that the SUV driver lost control over the steering wheel in an effort to avoid hitting wild cattle which suddenly came in front of the vehicle.
The SUV took around 3 upside down after colliding with the divider on the road.
Family members refused to post the deceased in Baran after they were sent to their original in the city, he added.
