Jaipur: A 25-year-old man allegedly died of suicide after several people cut his hair and struggled he accused him of being involved in theft, police said on Tuesday.
Omaram JAT has been going to Dawa Village, Nagaur District in Rajasthan to meet his relatives when several people cut his hair and struggle on Sunday, police said.
He ended his life by jumping into the well on Monday after returning to his home place Nokha Town in Bikaner.
The State Human Rights Commission has been looking for factual reports on incidents of police and Bikaner administration, said a statement.
A video showing his cut hair also appeared on social media after that the police took action.
Before the video was filmed, JAT was allegedly hit.
The investigation into this problem began after the video appeared, said Nokha Dsp Nem Singh Chauhan.
He said the young man committed suicide after people cut his hair and beat him.
The body has been submitted to family members for the last ceremony, said DSP.
Police Nagaur has also registered a case against several unknown people under the IPC 202 and 306 sections, said the Nagaur DSP Vinod Kumar.
