Jaipur: Covid-19 spread rapidly in the state, with Thursday seeing a 92.4% leap in new cases compared to the previous day.
While the country reported 131 cases on Wednesday, 252 people were found to be infected with a virus on Thursday.
This is the largest surge in six months and 14 days.
The last time the country reported more than 252 cases on June 16, when 280 people were tested positively, in addition, active cases had also increased at increased speed over the past few days.
On December 24, the state has 244 active cases, has increased to 773 on Thursday.
This is the highest since July 9, when the country saw 815 cases like that.
Jaipur has also violated the 500 mark in an active case since June 21, when the country has 558 active cases.
About 69 people have been positively tested for Omicron variants from December 5, to date.
Expecting cases to increase further, the state government takes all possible actions from imposing restrictions to vaccinate people to prevent other waves.
“We have issued direction to officials to focus more on random sampling and contact contacts.
