Jaipur: In the midst of increasing concerns about Omicron, the state witnessed the largest one-day surge of 45 cases in five and a half months.
The last time State reported more than 45 cases on July 11 when 52 people were found infected.
One person died because Covid in the last 24 hours took the number of victims in December to eight.
Since July 31, only nine deaths were reported with one death in November and the rest in December.
The state toll is currently at 8,963.
“City women who died 70 years old,” said Dr.
BS Tanwar, Chief Medical Health Officer, City.
In the state, active cases have increased from 244 to 271 in the last 24 hours.
From them, 129 is currently in Jaipur, counting 47.6% of active cases.
“We are searching for people’s contacts and take samples for testing.
We have strengthened our sampling,” said a health department official in Jaipur.
Over the past three days, Jaipur has reported an increase in Covid cases.
In just three days, this city has reported 61 fresh infections.
On Saturday, 26 people were found infected with Jaipur, the four cases were reported from Bhilwara and Jodhpur, Ajmer reported three cases, each case reported from Sikar, Sirohi, Bikaner.
Two cases reported from Bikaner while Udaipur reported one case.
