Jaipur: About 1.10 Children Crore in the 12-17 age group will be vaccinated against Covid.
The process will begin after the Ministry of Health receives a dose.
“The targeted group of children up to 17 years in the state of eligible for vaccination is around 1.10 crore.
We have completed preparations for children’s inoculation qualified.
We have sufficient storage, cold chains and trained workers,” said Raghu Sharma, Minister of Health.
He said that once the country received a vaccine dose for children, the health department would create awareness so that people should know that children would be fully safe with vaccines.
Instilling trust among people for vaccinating their children, Sharma said when a child gave birth, he would be vaccinated against the disease.
Medication Controller General India (DCGI) has given approval for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to Zydus Cadila to vaccinate children from 12 years to 18 years.
“In the state, children will get Zycov-D, which is the Zydus Cadila vaccine,” said Dr.
Raghuraj Singh, director of the project (vaccination), the Ministry of Health.
Children have not been protected against Covid-19 because they have not received any vaccines.
Schools have also opened for children and they must come out to study.
The Ministry of Health officials said that the Covid-19 vaccine would provide protection to children.
