Jaipur: surrendered to the pressure built by the BJP Opposition, the state government on Monday canceled Rajasthan’s feasibility of the examination for Teachers (REET) in Level-II while maintaining the results of level I was conducted in September last year.
The ongoing recruitment process for REET-2021 Level-I will continue, while the level-II test will be carried out together with the DPRD I and Level-II of REET-2022 in July.
The level-i exam was held for school teachers recruiting for SD (class 1 to 5) and level-II for the top of the primary (class 6 to 8) class.
The state government has decided to increase the number of posts for REET-2021 and REET-2022 for 62,000 (including 15,500 from REET level-I 2021).
Candidates for the level of reet level I this year will be given direct work promises based on achievement, without further tests.
Candidates with the Basic School of Teaching Certificate (BSTC) and B.ED degree will be eligible for the reet exam this year.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at the head of the minister’s head in the afternoon.
The exam, which is said to be the biggest recruitment of the state, is disturbed by paper leaks that allegedly occur right under the nose of the nodal institution – the Rajasthan Council of Secondary Education (RBSE).
Next, revelation by the police, the state government was fired by the Chairperson of the RBSE DP Jaroli and suspended Secretary Arvind Kumar Sengwa last month.
Pradeep Parashar, reet coordinator for Jaipur District behind a paper leak, was arrested.
BJP has since demanded the cancellation of the CBI examination and investigation into paper leaks, accusing the role of the Ministry of Technical Education Subhash Garg.
“We are not happy to cancel the exam because it will have an impact on the unemployment youth, but tapped by (BJP leader) of their actions, we are limited to do so,” said CM Ashok Gehlot, during a media briefing after a cabinet meeting.
“The new date and new recruitment test rules will be announced immediately based on the judiciary v of the VYAS committee report (expected in March 15).” The minister’s head said the format for recruiting teachers would experience changes in the future.
There will be two tests for teacher recruitment, he said.
Reet will only be a feasibility test and candidate must provide another exam on the subjects they plan to teach.
The validity of the reet score will be in a lifetime instead of three years.
The government will change the rules for this.
“The opposition leader JI Kataria praised the ongoing police probe in paper leaks but was forced to take U-turn and demanded the CBI investigation by the BJP leader in Delhi,” said Gehlot.
“Their government (center) cannot provide the promised job, so they will not allow recruitment to go here,” the alleged minister.
In a press statement later, the government claimed to have been given a Lakh government job in the last three years, in addition to starting the recruitment process for another Lakh Post.
In the indictment of the Minister of Garg by BJP MP Kirori Lal Meena, Gehlot said, “BJP people do not have the moral right to make allegations, Kirori Ji has been ruled out by local BJP leaders so he tries to please his party boss in Delhi.
He shouldn’t be serious Of course.
