Jaipur: Twenty-three people died because Covid in the last 24 hours in this country carrying the January toll road to 304 with a mortality rate as low as 0.12%.
Toll victims from March 2020 to the date of standing at 9,268.
Eight deaths reported from Jaipur on Monday, three of Pali, two of them from Sikar, Jodhpur and one death were reported from Ajmer, Bundi, Churu, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Kariauli, Nagaur and Tonk.
In five days, active cases have been reduced from 94,148 to 67,017.
The country has also witnessed 11,618 people recovering from viruses, more than 6,369 new covid cases reported in 24 hours.
Although active cases declined over the past five days, more than 20 deaths were being recorded in the state.
For the 8th day in a row, the country witnessed more than 20 Covid deaths every day.
The state reported 173 deaths in eight days, namely 56 percent of deaths that occurred in January.
This shows that the majority of January mortality occurred in the last eight days in a month.
With Omicron spread rapidly in the state in January, the Ministry of Health also intensified his supervision by doing more samples for covid tests.
In January, more than a double sample was collected compared to samples collected in December.
The health department official said that more than 17 lakh samples were collected in January while in December, more than 9 lakh samples were collected.
The state reported 6,369 new Covid cases in 24 hours so the calculation became 12.06.421.
The active case in the country decreased from 72,289 to 67017.
Meanwhile, Jaipur reported 1,578 Covid cases.
The active case in Jaipur decreased from 18,832 to 16,739 in a day.
