According to the source of the airport authorities, Indigo has announced that it is scheduled to start operations for Mumbai and Delhi starting July 12.
The airline will operate four flights a week to Mumbai and three to Delhi.
According to sources, Spicejet will also start its operations from Rajkot airport gradually from July 15.
Although this airline has not announced its schedule, the airline tends to continue its operations for Bengaluru, Hydi, Mumbai, Delhi and Goa.
According to sources, in one-month operation, the operator gets good traffic for Bengaluru and Hyderabad and because they are interested in continuing the operation.
Confirming this step, Director of Rajkot Airport, Diganta Borah said, “The two private operators continue the operation from Rajkot airport and hopefully, at the end of July, all schedules will be set.” Rajkot airport recently received permission for handling cargo.
