Rajkot: cash, jewelry and English pool, total worth Rs 12.56 lakh, stolen from the doctor’s house in the civilian rajkot hospital when he and his family out of Rajkot City for a vacation.
The police said that the thieves entered the apartment building in Yagnik Road from the terrace and entered the third floor of Flat Dr.
Sejuga Antala, working with PDU Government Hospital (Civil Rajkot Hospital) Antia filed a complaint of the police on Monday night with the Pradyuman Nagar Police Station.
In complaints, the doctor said that he brought home 180 grams of gold jewelry from his bank locker for the function of the family wedding and had not deposited it back.
His parents – Mrs.
Usha and Pastor Kantilal – who lived in England, had come to Rajkot for a wedding and brought with their British pounds stolen.
After the marriage, Antala’s parents went to their place of origin in Dhoraji on December 18, while he and his wife went to Amreli, his in-laws, on December 23.
According to Antia, they have left their home key with their cooking dishes Barad and Maid Anju Vaghela.
The two of them used to come home regularly to be cleaned.
However, when they opened the house on December 27 they found it was damaged.
They told the neighbors who called the doctor’s family.
Police assistance that 180gm gold jewelry, Rs 2.5 lakh cash and 4,800 pounds have been stolen from home.
The thieves also stole a wallet containing doctor’s parents’ passports and some important documents.
L L Chavda, Police Inspector Police Office Pradyuman Nagar said, “The thieves came from the terrace and entered the house by breaking one of the glass windows.
We have identified one of the suspects from CCTV footage.”
