Rajkot: A man with a criminal record of the past was arrested by Rajkot police because he prepared a fake property document and deceived people by promising land at low prices.
While Ramesh Makwana was arrested by the police, two were accused of another in this case still running.
According to the police, Chaman Chavda, a resident of Raghol Village, filed a complaint of cheating on Makwana, Hirabhai Sagasia, a resident of Jamnagar, and Jayrajinsinh Rana, a resident of Jamnagar.
In his complaint, Chavda stated that the three defendants had promised to sell a plot of land at lower prices of market rates.
Even after Chavda paid Rs 1 lakh, he did not get land ownership.
The police investigation revealed that the land promised by the defendant was sold to Chavda owned by one Palsana Ramesh.
“The defendant has prepared a false power of attorney and other documents to show that they have land.
Palsana did not realize this racket,” said a police officer.
Makwana’s interrogation revealed that it had 13 violations including murder, murder efforts and made a fake document registered against it.
He also escaped from police custody in the past.
