Rajkot: Citing the low number of new Covid-19 cases and high vaccinations among the city’s population, the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) demanded that the mask should not be made again.
APEX’s body for trade and industry in Saurashtra urged the government to stop collecting a fine of ‘mask’ from violators to stop harassment of ordinary people.
While medical professionals around the world advocate the use of masks to curb the spread of Coronavirus, the trading body has made a representation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chair of Minister Bhupendra Patel asking for the appointment of mandatory mask rules.
In his letter, the trading body has stated that Covid really took control of the state.
The letter also quoted AIIMS Randeep Guleria’s statement recently about its very few third wave opportunities Covid-19 in India.
The letter also stated that a considerable population in this country has been vaccinated and the number of new positive cases can be ignored.
It states that seeing the current scenario, wearing a mask for all day can be proven to be dangerous for health.
People cannot breathe fresh air because of the mask and this can cause other diseases, it states.
