Vadodara: nine days after he was ordered to rape a 24-year-old law student, Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested Raju Bhatt from Junagadh with the help of the local police there.
Bhatt, Trustee at Pavagadh Temple, has been running after the girl filed a complaint at the Gotri Police Station against her and Senior Accountant Chartered Ashok Jain.
Bhatt was taken to the city on Tuesday night.
“We got information about his existence from his relatives.
Bhatt has many relatives and friends in Junagadh, so he hid there for the past few days,” said D Chauhan, ACP (Crime).
Bhatt will be sent for RPCR tests on Wednesday and he will be produced in court a day after that.
The sources in the police said that Bhatt came out to meet with one of his advocal friends in Junagadh where the police arrested him.
His arrest has brought relief to the police when Bhatt disappeared during the day after FIR had caused a lot of shame for the police.
Senior police officials said that they would track Jain also in the next few days.
Bhatt was also ordered based on a ban on a ban on Monday after a bottle of Brendi was found at his residence during a police search.
On September 19, the girl who studied at a private university had accused Jain, who runs the CA company, persecuted him by climbing his drink at the guest house.
He said that Jain also came to the flat and raped it later.
He alleged that Bhatt, who was an investor at Jain’s company, has also raped it and threatened it with terrible consequences.
Jain also wrote a letter to the DGP of state and pastor who claimed his innocence.
He had said in the letter that he was framed by the girl friend Alpesh Vadhwani aka Alpu Sindhi who was the history of Sheeter.
The police tried to track Sindhi which was also connected with respect to prohibiting cases.
