Thiruvananthapuram: The leader of the Ramesh Chennithala congress on Wednesday shot a letter to the Head of Pinarayayu Minister Vijayan demanded him to remove the Minister of Higher Education R Bindu from the cabinet.
Chennithala said the revelation made by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, who is also a university chancellor in the country, is very surprising.
Evidence for what the Governor said also came out, said Chennithala, added that the letters written by the Governor’s Minister, asked him to re-elevate the Chancellor of the University of Kannur to tell examples of the political conclusions that the minister’s should not be given to the Minister of Governors, said Chennithala.
In one of his letters, the Minister has stated that he regards him as special rights to propose the name Gopinath Ravindran to be appointed again as the Chancellor of the University of Kannur ‘.
There were no laws that allowed ministers to make such recommendations, Chennithala said.
“I do not understand what is referred to by the Minister.
The University of ACT does not provide any pro-chancellor of any special power.
The Minister and the government have no role or authority for the appointment of Chancellor’s representative,” he said.
Meanwhile, opposition leader V D Sathean and KPCC K Sudhakaran also demanded Bindu resignation.
Both leaders told the minister, whose interventions that had not existed in the public domain, could not find comfort in the orders of the High Court, which rejected the appeal of Ravindran as Deputy Chancellor of the University of Kannur.
The petition rejected by the High Court was submitted long before the government openly acknowledged that political disorders had been made and the letters written by the minister appeared.
There is a surprise element in the court order issued on Wednesday.
Things will change when the petition reaches the division bench with more detail and evidence, said Sathean.
Sudhakanan said the Congress would not allow the LDF government to protect the minister further.
