Ranchi: Social Organization based in Jharkhand, Anjum Hebrar Foundation, has announced a gift of Rs 1 Lakh for Muskan Khan, “who put on a brave face in front of a group of students who opposed wearing a headscarf in Karnataka”.
During the function held under the Sajha Manchhand banner (SajaJH), the Foundation announced that every year, it will give the Fatima Shiekh Savitri Bhai Phule award to a woman who plays an active role in any field and named Muskan as a recipient for this year.
Overcoming the function, the President of Islamia Anjuman, Hebrar Ahmad, said that no one should be angry when women wear certain types of fabrics according to His tradition.
He said it was a woman’s personal choice to wear the clothes they wanted.
Ahmad further said creating social tensions on the problem was wrong and emphasized that the Sosjh would work to ensure unity among people.
When asked about demonstrations by a group of students who supported the headscarf at Doranda College, Ahmad said official statements would be issued after seeking details of the incident.
He added that according to him, there was no controversy related to wearing a headscarf in Jharkhand.

He added that the incident in Karnataka was the result of a conspiracy.
