Vadodara: Is the rape accused of Accountants Chartered (CA) Ashok Jain and Raju Bhatt to know each other or have met the girl together? Twelve days after the Duo was ordered, the police tried to ascertain whether Jain and Bhatt had come into allegations by the girl in her complaint.
The police said that Bhatt, who was arrested three days ago, denied touching Jain.
“He continued to claim that he did not know Jain but we verified.
They are both famous citizens so it is impossible for them to know each other.
Also, we have some direct evidence that connects both,” said a senior police officer.
Interestingly, Jain too, in his letter written to the DGP state claimed that he did not know who Bhatt.
The 24-year-old law student, who accused the duo of raping him, had told the police that it was Jain who introduced it to Bhatt.
He said that he met Jain five months ago when he went to his office for training.
He claimed that Jain introduced it to Bhatt during a discussion about a multi-crore agreement.
“We will get a complete idea about the order of crime after Jain Nabbed,” the police said.
The police have not been able to track Jain who disappeared on September 20, the day after he was ordered for rape by Gotri police.
On Friday, the police took Jain to three separate places where he met the girl.
Police reconstruct crime in three properties including hotel rooms.
Since his arrest, Bhatt has maintained his statement that the relationship between him and the girl is consensal.
He, however, has stated in his code that it was Jain who first spoiled his drink and maintained it.
He then visited his residence later and raped him.
Bhatt was also accused of raping and threatening the girl.
