Vadodara: Constable Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD), accused of raping a 21-year-old girl, dismissed from police service on Monday.
Surajsinh Chauhan was immediately suspended after the girl filed a complaint rape towards him at the Laxmipura police station in March last year.
While Chauhan was arrested and currently nested in the vadodara center prison, the department’s investigation was also initiated against him.
The police said that Chauhan did not give any answers during the investigation carried out by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

“We conducted a detailed investigation and he (Chauhan) was given a notification of the show on October 25 which asked why the action should not begin with him.
He did not reply to the following notice that I refused from the police department on Monday,” Deepak Kumar Meghani said, DCP (Zone 1 ).
Meghani added that the police could appeal against dismissal before the right authority in the next 60 days.
Chauhan, posted at the Laxmipura police station, has been accused of rape by a girl she saw with her friend’s friend on Jalan Gotri-Ankodia isolated in March last year.
