Chandrapur: Police Shegaon has arrested a 28-year-old man in a few hours from the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl, reported Mazhar Ali.
The defendant, Ganesh Gajbhe, allegedly picked up the girl who returned home from a festive party and forced herself above livestock in Arjuni Village, 15km from Warora Taluka’s headquarters.
Official sources said that the victim had fallen behind his mother and sister while returning from a party in the village at 9pm.
A woman who passed the warehouse allegedly saw the defendant sexually exploited the girl.
The woman immediately told the girl who hurried to save her but the defendant managed to escape.
Then, the girl took her to the Shegaon police station and filed a complaint.

Pi, Shegaon, Avinash Meshram launched the hunt and arrested Gajbhe.
