Rajkot: Chamber of Commerce and Rajkot Industry (RCCI) in representation of the Minister of Finance Union has demanded aid package for trade and industry which saw the impact of the pandemic ahead of the upcoming central budget in February.
RCCI Wants To Increase Tax Assistance Limit Rs 3 Lakh from Rs 1.50 Lakh is currently below the 80C section for individual taxpayers.
It also requires a reduction in basic customs duty on imports of raw materials such as steel and metals used by the Rajkot engineering industry.
Industrial bodies also demand a reduction in tax rates for individual taxpayers especially.
RCCI has also been urgent to impose corporate tax which at the current level is 22% effectively to 25.17% at an additional cost.
