Bhubaneswar: The state is ready to launch a vaccine for children in the age group 2-18 with short notice after the central issue guide for the same, said the government government on Tuesday.
There are around 1.40 crore children in Odisha in the age group 2-18.

“With the SEC nod, now the problem of time before use in the pediatric age group.
This will help overcome fears that children may be at risk in the possibility of future waves.
Vaccines have proven to be fully safe,” Rao said.
Arijit Mohapatra, a pediatric specialist, said, “This will help restore the normal state of the lives of children.
After vaccination, the authorities will be sure to reopen the school.
It is very important for the normal growth of children.”
