Coimbatore: The relief for health workers and the public, the Daily Covid case in Coimbatore has recorded a stable decline over the past few days.
In all probabilities, coimbatore can hit the peak and the spread is expected to subside further in the coming days, similar to the pattern seen in Chennai.
According to the health bulletin issued by the state government, Coimbatore reported 3,740 new cases on Wednesday, a decline of 3,763 cases recorded the previous day.
Although the decline in new cases is only marginal, it shows a trend in decreasing the number of cases since Sunday.
On January 23, the district recorded 3.912 cases, the highest one-day calculation in the wave of Covid spread.
Since then, the number of cases has declined.
However, the number of active cases has increased.
While there were 22,921 people who underwent treatment for Covid on January 23, the number rose to 27,037 people on Wednesday.
This is because the number of people declared as recovered every day has been lower than infected.
“People who are infected a week or 10 days ago or recovered now.
Because the number of people infected with 10 days back is lower, the recovery amount is still lower,” said a health worker.
On Wednesday, 2,884 people recovered, according to the bulletin.
Fatality also remains stagnant in two deaths per day.
Bulletin said that a 84-year-old man admitted on January 19 and a 70-year-old man who admitted on January 24 died.
However, the factor of concern is the level of participation.
Coimbatore proceeded to the top of the country at the level of front of 27.5%, far in front of other high prevalence districts such as Chennai and Chengalpet.
