Gurgaon: The City and State Meeting Department (DTCP), which has spent almost 40 lakh Rs on the drive of the illegal colony in the past year, has been written to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) for recovery from the number of perpetrators.
The DTCP enforcement wing published 46 recovery notifications to landowners and the builder of illegal colonies on Monday.
The total amount sought by almost Rs 16 lakh.
The department will also serve other notifications of Rs 10 Lakh in a week.
Last year, DTCP has decided to recover the cost of driving demolition from landowners and builders to examine the mushrooming of illegal settlements and reduce financial burdens in the department.
After driving demolition over the past year, the department has prepared an estimate of the total costs incurred, including the recruitment of Earthmovers and other resources.
Now try to restore that number from almost 450 offenders.
The District Town Planner (Enforcement) Hospital Batth said that the department has recommended that Deputy Commissioners and Revenue Department restore the amount of land income.
“Until the offenders pay the amount, the department can make red entries in the note of land income,” Batth said.
In his letter to DC, the department said the offenders were responsible for paying the amount spent in driving demolition under Section 10 (3) of Haryana’s development and urban regional law regulations, 1975.
“Violators have not agreed to the amount needed to date.
So, we ask you to direct the Tehsildar concerned to restore the number of offenders, “the department told DC.
