Salem: Salem District Crime Branch (DCB) Police on Monday registered a case against the political PA from former Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K Palaniswami for allegedly taking RS 17 Lakh as a bribe of a worker with promising workers.
According to DCB, Mani and Selvakumar demanded Rs 17 Lakh from Tamilselvan Neyveli, promising work in Transport Corporation.
“Mani and Selvakumar did not get the promised job for Tamilselvan,” said a police officer.
Tamillelvan demanded his money back.
However, the duo did not return the number and allegedly threatened Tamilselvan.
Tamillelvan filed a complaint with Salem DCB on Monday.
Based on complaints, DCB enrolled the case and initiated an investigation.
“We will take action against the duo based on the results of the investigation,” added the official.
