Jaipur: Senior Congress of officials and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh, who are in the city on Friday, separately meet four state politicians from the party – Minister of Ashok Gehlot, Speaker Assembly CP Joshi, Head of PCC Govind Singh Dotasra and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot.
Even when Singh claimed his visit strictly to highlight the failure of the center and refused to take questions relating to the chaos at the Rajasthan Congress, political observers believe that senior politicians discussed the politics of the country, including the demand for a pilot for expansion and cabinet reshuffle.
The political development in the neighboring Punjab, where the captain Amarinder Singh “humiliated” to resign as the main minister, has brought the national focus on Rajasthan too, where Gehlot and the pilot are locked in upheaval.
Overcoming a press conference here, Singh complained that the media praised the recent Gujarat CM changes as BJP Masterstroke but when the same thing was done in Punjab, it was called Congress.
Singh held a long discussion with Gehlot at the residence of the minister’s head in the afternoon.
After that he went to Joshi’s residence and held talks with him.
Previously on the day, pilots and dotasra paid a visit to Singh at Khasa Kothi.
Some ministers, MLAs and party leaders also met Singh.
His visit had come when Punjab PCC Navjot Singh Sidhu and BSP-Turn-Congress legislator Rajasthan had spelled new problems for the leadership of the Congress Center.
Four of the six turn legislators from Rajasthan were in New Delhi, apparently irritated to leadership because they ignored their legal and political needs of their old man.
This legislator struggled to save their assembly membership in the Supreme Court, where BSP had sued them under the anti-defection law.
In addition to legal assistance, six MLA has hoped to be appointed in the state government to increase the strength of the congress of 100 to 106 in the assembly of 200 members.
However, Six, faced rigid resistance from the pilot camp, who wanted its own members on the Council of Ministers and also in the Commission and the State Council.
In this situation, Singh was seen by Congress workers as a central leadership messenger.
It is believed that the old demands for the Cabinet and Rejig PCC and political promises in the state will be fulfilled during Navratri starting October 7.
