Bengaluru: a couple on the way to the Maldives for their honeymoon denied boarding in Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) after they produced a negative report RT-PCR handwriting issued by the Ministry of Health Nagpur Municipal Corporation effacing response code (QR).
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has mandated a negative report Covid with QR Code to international travelers.
Chartered Accountant Bhavesh Gehani, 26, and College Lecturers Urmila Nagpal, 24, from Nagpur tie the knot on December 6, 2021 and is planning to fly to the Maldives for their honeymoon.
Appropriate pre-booked vacation package worth Rs 2.5 lakh, both landing in Bengaluru on December 9, 2021 to capture Ai Air India 265, direct flights to the man who was scheduled to take off at 2:55 o’clock in the evening.

Facing the possibility of their honeymoon is interrupted, the couple desperately trying to download their reports with a QR code on the portal ICMR in Bengaluru terminal but did not succeed due to some technical problems.

“Finally, we managed to take a report from the portal ICMR and produce it at 14:30 before departure gate staff, who denied us a ride.
My wife and I pleaded with them to allow us as we headed to our honeymoon but they refused to listen,” bhavesh sad words which must reschedule the trip.

Air India to KIA sources said the Ministry of Civil Aviation in May 2021 issued an order stating RT-PCR Test report with QR Code mandatory for passengers flying out of the country to prevent false reports that hides covid flyer status.
