Hyderabad: An animal rights activist team from the city travels more than 130 km from Hyderabad to Devarakonda in the Nalgonda district to save a cow trapped well, which is 60-ft.
Following the call from local farmers, Nenavath Balu, eight volunteers from the Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS) animal took place on four motorbikes to save cows.
“We received a call at 10:30 a.m.
after that we immediately went to the location.
We load the equipment on our bicycles and take off,” said Pradeep Nair of AWC.
The cow half sank in the water and shivering volunteers has asked farmers to arrange tractors or JCB to attract animals using a rope.
“The cow is half immersed in water and shivering.
We can’t wait until morning because the old exposure to cold temperatures in water can cause hypothermia in animals,” said Volunteers J Santoshi to Tii.
The challenge is when they realize that they don’t have enough ropes and tractor wheels stuck in mud and don’t move forward in the field.
Volunteers have asked farmers to regulate tractors or JCB to attract animals using a rope.
The situation becomes complicated when the animal is trapped almost on the edge of the well because of the uneven stone surface.
However, volunteers pull it to a safe place.
“The cow was very weak.
After we massaged the members of his body, it got up and went straight to the one and a half-month calf in the nearby livestock,” Santoshi said.
