Mangaluru: The Chair of Isro K Sivan said the world faces the challenges of climate change and natural disasters, which can change the face of the earth in the future.
Speaking at the 19th Nitk-Suratkal meeting was held virtually on Saturday, he asked graduates to respond to global challenges and produce strategies that allow humanity to adapt to unprecedented challenges.
On an opportunity for engineering graduates to take entrepreneurship, Sivan said there was a most likely to startup in India.
“This country is in a startup boom now.
Many professionals stop from paid jobs both to respond to original consumer demands through startup.
Choose what is close to your heart, and do not copy others.
This will ensure excellence in professional life,” he said.
On reform in the space sector under the Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme, he said the government would like to form the space industry ecosystem to produce more income through reform in space.
The Minister of Education of Union, Dharmendra Pradhan, said several features of the 2020 national education policy were included in the Nit-K curriculum for 2021-22.
He calls graduates to give back to the public with socially responsibly.
Conveying the President’s address, Director of Nit-K Prof.
Umaheshwar Rao called for graduates to connect with the community and find solutions to people’s problems.
“Have a dogging problem and become part of the solution to the problems faced by people,” he said.
During the convocation ceremony, 1,681 candidates, including 120 Bachelor of PhD, 766 post-graduates and 795 BTECH students, received degrees.
Doctor of Science (Kausa Honoris) was awarded Suhas L Yathiraj, District Judge Gautham Buddha Nagar (above) and silver winner in Tokyo Paralympics.
