Kanpur: IIT-Kanpur has announced a comprehensive reform of curriculum, putting a new template with statue features.
Transformative steps are part of the Bachelor’s 2020-21 academic review committee report (UGARC 2020-21), which has been approved by the IIT-K Senate.
According to the Director, Iit-Kanpur Prof.
Abhay Karandikar, “Existing Curriculum Improvement, Introduction of Courses relevant to the current world and revised assessment system in the continuation of our steps in this direction and in line with the National Recommendation of Education Policy (2020 ) from the government.

He said that Iit-Kanpur had offered one of the most flexible academic programs with major multiple choices, minor and double with master’s degree options in various departments.
The changed curriculum will introduce a new title option, including the Honors degree and the new antardepartmental program option.
It will also expand the scope of learning to include social science, communication, humanities, economics, management and the environment (scheme).
Official releases say that core courses will be restructured to provide greater flexibility in the core curriculum.
Furthermore, this program will also allow the calculation of specified online courses carried out by students.
Transformational Template for undergraduate education will include innovative features such as new opportunities for student exchange in all institutions for the Master part of the Bachelor’s Dual Degree Program, directly entered the gifted students through a globally recognized Olympics, Academic Credit for Approved Entrepreneurship Activities and Learning conducted in regulated industries.
There will also be a title of outgoing options for students who want to leave the program in the middle.
The academic program and related curriculum in Iit-Kanpur will undergo a comprehensive review every ten years.
The review process begins with a tiring deliberation in the committee consisting of members taken from various academic departments and the student community.
