Rajkot: Even though Diwali is still a few days away, the atmosphere in Nari Sanrakshan Gruh in Yagnik Road in a letter becomes lively on Friday.
The inmates and officials took part in rituals such as mandap, Mehndi and Pithi as three girls, including one deaf and mute, living in marriage with Hindu rituals.
The wedding ceremony was attended by the Arun Mahesh Babhu District collector, Utkarsh District Judge T Desai, additional district judges K D Dave, senior civil judge R Rajput, civil judge M aka Kaushik, Dev Choudhary District Development Officer and Police Inspector Balram Meena.
Janaksinh Gehil, District Child and Women Development Officer said that a committee chose partners for these girls.
“If the girl and boy are both wanted to get married, we collected all the details about the Groom and Professional family and sent it to the Social Justice Department in Gandhinagar.
The marriage was held after we got a green signal from Gandhinagar,” said Gohil.
