New Delhi: An Indian passenger who came from Riyadh was arrested by the CISF at Delhi Airport on Thursday for allegedly bringing gold bars hidden in hand trunk worth around Rs 14 Lakh, a senior officer said.
Passengers landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in the morning and were undergoing security checks to take liaison flights to Ahmedabad when he was intercepted.
Four gold bars with a total of around 300 GMS recovered from the luggage of the passenger hand, which was handed over to the customs authority for further investigation into the golden source smuggled, the officer said.
The golden blade is estimated to be worth RS 14 Lakh, he said.
