Rajkot: A Rajkot Municipal Corporation Assistant (RMC) suicide by jumping to Nyari-i Dam on Thursday night.
Paresh Joshi was fifty years old leaving his house at Sadhu Vaswani Road on his scooter and went to the dam.
The police said he was heard fighting with someone by telephone and screaming loudly.
As soon as the call ended, he jumped to the dam.
Joshi works as an assistant engineer in the East Zone RMC.
The body was arrested by the fire brigade.
While his scooter was found in place, Joshi’s cellphone had not been restored.
“We will check the detailed record of the call to find out with whom he speaks,” JV Dhola said from the Rajkot Taluka police station.
Joshi lives in the Palm View appartments in Gangotri Park.
