Vadodara: A group of robbers arrested by Dahod police in October was returned to seven-day police custody by the local court.
The robber gang which has several cases of registered dakoity against it has been ordered under the control of Gujarat for organized terrorism and crime (Gujcoc).
“Three gang members were sent to police detention for seven days in the court on November 6.
Geng was arrested in October and returned to the three days of police detention before.
But the police then booked them under the Gujcoc law and re-search again,” said Raghuvir Pandya, Special Public Prosecutor.
Gang Tiga includes Jaysinh Palash, Dilip Baria and Palash Nikesh, all residents of Dahod, were booked for 16 violations at the 13 Gujarat District.
Pandya said that they had been doing booty and dako in Junagadh, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Dahod, Morbi and other districts.
“Fans are re-searched to collect details about the modus of gang operandi and how they managed to do receptions in various districts.
They must have got local support so that the police are now trying to find out if there are more people involved in evil,” said Pandya to Ti.
Gangs will be taken to different districts during the detention period.
This case is now being investigated under the Superintendent Right Superintendent Deputy Vice Limkheda.
