Robbers won a girl’s gold necklace from inside her house

Vadodara: Chain snatchers have now stepped forward in their modus operandi in the city.
In an unprecedented crime, a chain snatcher in Padra dared to commit his crime in the extensive daylight on Saturday by entering a woman’s house and robbed the gold necklace worth Rs 1.4 lakh.
According to the police, Smita Amin 58 years old running Tiffin services, which they believe, robbers must be considered.
On Saturday afternoon, robbers came to his house and identified himself as the nearest garage mechanic.
He brought raw chicken meat to his house and asked him to cook him for him.
Amin, who served vegetarian and non-vegetarian customers, asked the man to wait at his home while he cooked him for him.
After the food was prepared, Amin packed it and handed it to the man, when he took his golden chain and ran out of the house.
Amen raised the alarm, but no one in his house could make the man chase and when he reached outside, the robber had disappeared.
Then, Amin filed a chain-grabbing and entry complaint without permission at the Padra Police Station.
“As explained, the man is no higher than 5 feet and speaks Hindi,” said Inspector P T Jaiswal from the Padra police station, added that the investigation was on.
