Vadodara: A professor of the University-based Parul University (PU) has developed automatic robot cleaners to clean areas that cannot be accessed in Covid Wards to ensure the safety of the cleaning staff.
Under the innovative project called – Clenoroboflex – Om Prakash Shukla has developed a long-range dust cleaner with a 15-meter long working range, making it convenient for use in the ward of infectious diseases.
The device can be operated by one person and can operate it from a safe distance.
This discovery has been carried out for use at the University of Parul Sevasham 750-bed.
“This typical robot is operated with a battery with two hours of work continuously along with the provisions for battery reserves.
This expanded battery life is significant because one charge can close the fingers broader and ensure continuous flow of uninterrupted use,” Shukla said , It has been made of local ingredients without using any welding and has a PVC body structure, resulting in very mild medicine and battery.
“Because the robot is made of PVC, it can be easily disinfected with a standard disinfectant solution used in the hospital,” he said.
