Hyderabad: City Administration and the Minister of Development Urban KT Rama Rao on Thursday said that the RS 3,700 Crore will be needed to improve the sewerage system on the agglomeration of Urban Hyderabad, including ORR.
He said that the mega sewerage plan was prepared by Shah Mumbai’s technical consultation.
“We will try to finish it.
We really plan to complete this work in these five years,” he said.
He told the members that the Government TRS had quickly finished giving water connections to all suburbs with delayed small jobs.
“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has allocated 1,200 crore Rs to provide facilities in the city in a meeting held with larger mlag hyderabad,” Minister said.
The Minister also convinced to provide drinking water facilities for the remaining colonies in the Nagar LB constituency immediately under the Bhagiratha scheme mission.
“The reservoir with a capacity of 47.5 months has been built in most colonies in LB Nagar constituencies, and works in the remaining colonies will cost Rs 170 Crore,” he said.
Previously, during the discussion, LB Nagar MLA D Sudhir Reddy said several colonies did not have a network of sewerage and drinking water.
“Groundwater work and sewerage must be completed in this suburban area and the next road can be developed,” he said.
The recommendation of the Kirloskar and JnTU committees must also be considered, he added.
