Thane: Immediately, patients from Thane do not need to travel to Mumbai for special care as the state government on Wednesday okay RS 526 Crore to convert civil hospitals into supplespection facilities.
“The capacity of existing facilities will almost triple 900 of 367 now after which patients, most of the weaker economic segments, in Thane and neighboring areas do not need to travel to Mumbai,” said Minister Guardian Shinde said.
As many as 50 beds each will be reserved for cases of neurology, oncology and onco-surgery, 70 for cardiology, and 30 for nephrology, including dialysis patients, in addition to increasing the concern and childcare of children up to 200 beds from 40.
While 200 beds Will for further care facilities, the rest will be for general patients, Shinde said.
