Motohari: Bipin Agrawal, a 46-year-old RTI activist, was shot dead by a criminal gang on Friday at the Gate of the Hariddhi Blok Office in the East Chamaran District of Bihar on Friday afternoon.
Police sources claim that the incident occurred when bipin went to the block office on foot.
While he entered the block place, two criminals opened fire to him.
He was taken to a private nursing home in Motaanari, where the doctors stated he was taken dead.
Champaran Timur SP Navin Chandra Jha said the special investigation team (sitting) has been formed to investigate this case.
He added that the family members of the deceased have not submitted any case in this connection so far.
The police were investigating cases from all angles when activists had hostilities with several people in the Harsidhi market.
Raids are being carried out to arrest criminals.
The source said Bipin had previously revealed through RTI that 99 people had penetrated the government’s land in the Harsidhi market last year and the administration triggered actions against shrimp now.
