Russia detained two allies of the Navalny opposition leader

Moscow: Russia has arrested two allies from Jaillin Foe Alexei Navalny, a leading opposition activist said on Tuesday, adding that they could face allegations of extremism which brought a long prison term.
Russian authorities in the past few months have been cracked in a group affiliated with Navalny, 45, known as the most vocal president Vladimir Putin.
He served two and a half years in prison for violations of parole related to fraud cases which were said to be politically motivated.
In June, a Russian court decided that the Navalny Anti-Corruption Foundation was ‘extremist’.
Then, after his allies reunited around a network of new organizations prepared for the election of the Russian parliament in September, the authorities began investigating campaign staff with the same extremism costs.
On Tuesday, the state researcher held the former Head of the Provincial Election Headquarters in the cities of Siberia Tomsk and Irkutsk to be questioned, Leonid Volkov, an Ally Navalny who lived in exile, wrote a telegram message application.
Volkov said he had tried to persuade both activists, Kseniya Fadeyeva and Zakhar Sarapulov, to leave Russia, because he and a number of other dissidents had been carried out, but they refused.
The Investigation Committee, the State Agency assigned to investigate crime and set costs, cannot be contacted immediately to comment on this case.
Navalny was flown to Germany last year for medical treatment after being poisoned in Siberia with what was being hit by western experts was Novichok’s military nerve agent.
The Russian government has denied it behind poisoning and rejected the findings of experts – who pushed the wave of new sanctions against Russia – and accused the Western campaign of the fight against it.
