Moscow: The Indian Embassy in Russia on Monday declared shocked at the shooting incident, which took place at the University in the city of Russia Perm.
The embassy revealed deep condolences for the loss of life in the shooting.
“Surprised by a terrible attack on Perm State University in Russia; our deep condolences over the loss of life and the best hope for their injured early recovery,” Indian Embassy in Russia Tweeted.
The embassy told that it was related to local authorities and representatives of Indian students.
“All Indian students at Perm State Medical University are safe,” said the Embassy in the next tweet.
A total of eight people were killed and 24 injured in the shooting, Sputnik reported quoting the latest data provided by the Ministry of Russian health.
Local reports say that the shooting was carried by an unknown person.
Russian President Vladimir Putin widened relatives of the victims of the shooting Monday at the University in Perm.
“The president was told about what was happening at Perm, at the University.
He instructed Mishustin’s Prime Minister (Mikhail) to send the Minister of Education and Health to regulate the victims and their relatives who were killed in the tragedy,” the Kremlin spokesman for Dmitry Peskov said at Monday, as quoted by Sputnik.
