Moscow: Russia on Friday reported that the number of new records Covid-19 was confirmed in the last 24 hours as an Omicron variant of the virus spread throughout the country, said the government’s Cornomic task force.
New casts every day jumped to 49,513, from 38,850 a day before.
The task force also reported 692 deaths.
