Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman of Pinarayi Minister Vijayan has said the Sabarimala airport project is above government priority projects and the questions submitted by this center are being examined.
SC, the Minister of Welfare and Parliament of the incident K Radhakrishnan who read the reply on behalf of CM to the calling movement of the call in this matter by MLA N Jayaraj, said that the government would advance with land acquisition for the project.
“The feasibility of the Techno-Economy and the social impact assessment report conducted by Louis Berger Consulting Private Limited, has been submitted to the center.
Further details in this case are sought by the Ministry of Civil Aviation for the Union,” he said.
This project was removed by the state government in 2017 itself.
The government has also appointed the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) as a nodal body to implement the project.
After the report was submitted by the State to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, he had raised a certain question about the project.
Quoting the observations of the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministry of Civil Aviation has been seeking certain clarification from the government while considering the application for project cleaning.
Cleaning from the Ministry of Defense is expected immediately after the Indian Air Force (IAF) has said that he has no objections in giving permission.
