Patna: JD (U) on Sunday gave a shock to the Congress by folding into the fold of Shubhanand Mukesh, the son of the former speaker of the State Assembly and a Grand Party veteran leader from Bhagalpur Sadanand Singh.
Other congressional officials, Shambhu Singh Patel from Bhabhua, also joined JD (U).
Both Mukesh and Patel did not succeed in challenging the selection of assembly of 2020 on Congress tickets.
They joined JD (U) with their supporters on a function held at the Shri Krishna Memorial Hall (SKM) here.
JD (U) National President of Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan Singh gave them party membership.
Some ministers and MLC participate in function.
Those who spoke on the occasion, such as President Lalan Singh, JD (U) Umesh Kushwaha, and Minister of Ashok Choudhary and Leshi Singh stated that Mukesh and Patel would be given their honor at the party.
JD (U) National President Lalan Singh recalled his relationship with Sadanand.
