Bengaluru: A number of experts say that failure to strictly follow the appropriate behavior of Covid is one of the main factors that triggers the second wave of Covid-19.
With the next stage of Unlock set to start from Monday, the police and civil officials have decided to take tight actions against residents and companies found violating the health safety protocol.
A total of 54 special teams, consisting of Marshal and BBMP police personnel will be deployed across the capital of technology to see infraction (not wearing masks and maintaining social distance), wearing a fine and registering cases.
The action plan for this effect was recorded during the coordination meeting attended by the Commissioner of the Gaurav Gupta Head of the Gaurav Gupta and the Commissioner of the Bengaloru Police Kamal arrow on Saturday.
Each of these teams will consist of four marshals and one house or police guard.
They will work in two shifts with a focus on public and private spaces that are generally crowded: markets, malls, hotels, pubs, main roads, traffic intersections, theaters, places and parks.
Emphasizing the importance of Covid-19 safety protocol at these points, Gupta said that the senior zonal official team would record the fields and companies where the rules were violated the most.
If there are no behavioral changes, they will lock the place.
Pants warn people from the beginning of the argument after being caught breaking the rules.
“If the argument occurs when Marshal imposes a penalty to citizens who do not comply with the rules, the police will provide the necessary security and take action,” Pant said.
Gupta said that Covid Caseload from Bengaluru, which was used to report around 20,000 infections every day during the second wave, had fallen to 600 to 700 cases.
It is important that people understand their responsibilities and follow the appropriate behavior of Covid to reduce the impact of the next wave, Gupta added.
On Saturday, Bengaluru reported 481 new Covid cases and 10 deaths.
At present, the city has 19,411 active cases.
“After opening 3.0, there will be more people on the streets.
Many will not use the mask or use it incorrectly.
Such people will be punished, in the same way done before,” said a senior police officer.
Both police and BBMP have collected around RS 26 Crore in a fine of violators so far.
