By passing Bappi Lahiri, Sameer spoke with Etimes, given the beautiful memories he had with the legendary music director.
He said, “The most period of my father’s career product comes with BAPPI DA.
They have the highest hit number along with films such as ‘Disco Dancer’ and ‘Dance Dance’.
I used to visit the house of Bappi Da who accompanied my father.
Then, so I grew up and made a name for myself, I got the chance to work with him too.
For years, BAPPI DA and I became very friendly and we have worked together until the last few projects.

Camaraderie and the relationship between BAPPI and Sameer’s father, Anjana continued for years.
Sameer was revealed, “Bappi Da used to call my father ‘Godman’ said that my father was one of the most honest and earnest he had ever met.
BAPPI DA always wanted my father to work with him in the south of the film too.
But my father Afraid of riding an airplane and will never be able to go with it in the south.
So BAPPI DA comes with the idea that Anjaan will write all his Hindi songs while Indeevar Ji will write for all the South Music BAPPI DA.
The only exception is the times when Some southern producers came to Bombay to make music and finally work with my father.
BAPPI DA has a big contribution to my father and my career.

After growing around BAPPI and the music, Sameer has a strong opinion about the legacy of the music director.
He added, “He is a pioneer and brings many new styles of music to our films.
Disco will always be identical to BAPPI DA.” He further revealed, “he entered the film industry when setting names like LaxMikan-Pygelal, Pancham Da And Kalyanji-Anandji dominates the scenario of music.
However, this young man from Kolkata can carve a niche for himself by creating a new movement in film music.
He has a big contribution to the history of film music.
The volume of work that has been managed by BAPPI DA for years is surprising.
I think he was only beaten by LaxMikans-Pygelal Ji in terms of the number of films.
He is one of the few music directors who can record 3 to 4 songs in one day.
There are no other music directors who can manage such speed.

He said, “For the past two years, his health has deteriorated.
The suffering began when BAPPI DA began to lose his voice and unfortunately, it never returned.
He even underwent surgery at one of his legs, he could not stand and put pressure on One of his legs.
He is bound to a wheelchair for the past few months.
