Seoul: Samsung Electronics on Tuesday revealed a new automatic chip targeting request for sophisticated chips in the car, including one installed in the Volkswagen infotainment system developed by LG Electronics.
Requests increased for automotive chips “high-tech” which can handle more consumption of entertainment and increased electrical components in the car, Samsung said in a statement, saying that he planned to actively respond to increased demand.
Chips, developed by the Samsung LIs Samsung LSI logical chip business system, included chips that allow 5G telecommunications to download high definition video content during transit, and power management chips for stable electrical supplies.
The third chip, infotainment processor that can control up to four screens and 12 cameras at once, has been installed on a high-performance computer Volkswagen called in the Car Application Server (ICAS) 3.1, developed by LG Electronics’ Vehicle Components Business, Samsung said.
Samsung and LG City LG Electronics rival have targeted the expansion of the global electrical vehicle market and electrification cars that are fast as an opportunity to sell more high-tech chips and sophisticated components, analysts said.
