In addition, they depend on kerosene supplied by the government for traditional fishing.
The fishermen federation from Udupi complains that they did not get enough land oil .
Therefore, I brought this matter to the notice of the Union Ministry of Petroleum, the Ministry has responded to the request of Karnataka and sanction an additional amount of kerosene to traditional fishing in the state, “said Karandlaje.
In a letter to the Commissioner of Karnataka, the Department of Food, Civil Aviament and Consumer Activity, AK Sinha, under the Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas, stated that the request of the Government of Karnataka for the allocation of additional quantity of non-subsidized kerosene for special needs for 2021-22 , it has been considered.
Therefore, it has been decided to allocate the state of Karnataka 3.540 kl from unbearable PDS kerosene, in addition to the previous allocation of 7,080 KL, Sinha stated.
